Caregiver

Caregivers provide assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves. Caregivers normally care for their clients every day and assist in tasks they are unable to do. Their clients may consist of people who need additional assistance because of a medical condition, or because of age. Elderly and disabled people are the most common individuals known to hire a caretaker. Furthermore, caretakers are often hired for children and teenagers under the age of 18.

Depending on who the client is and what their situation is, the responsibilities of a caregiver vary. Here is a list of the main responsibilities of a caregiver despite their age:

    • Home management
    • Medical assistance
    • Prescription management
    • Personal hygiene assistance
    • Feeding assistance
    • Transportation
    • Movement assistance
    • Housekeeping
    • Monitoring

Considering the valuable responsibilities caretakers take on, it is crucial for clients to pay their caretakers the appropriate amount. Invoicing can be a great way to do so and will allow you to track the time, labor, and efforts you put into your job as a caretaker.
